Are you ready for International Beer Day?

Get ready to pour yourself a tall one, it’s that time of the year again: International Beer Day.  Join the celebrations on the first Friday of August to appreciate one of the world’s most savored beverages.

This glorious day was founded in Santa Cruz, California in 2007 with the concept of bringing friends together and enjoying one of our favorite, adult past times: drinking beer. Thanks to the efforts of those responsible for brewing it, serving it and enjoying it, the world is able to unite under one festive banner.

All about that International buzz

A little known fact of 2014 is that the overall global consumption of beer was approximately 187 billion liters. That’s a heck of a lot of beer. Canned, bottled or drinking from a fancy growler, it is clear that beer is the chosen drink of the masses.

From humble beginnings, one of the best days of the year has grown to an event that is celebrated around the globe, even in Armenia and Venezuela. Not only is this day about taking sips of an ice cold brew, but it is also about taking part in popular games like beer pong and trivia nights.

In essence, International Beer Day is your chance to take beer drinking to the next level by trying something a little different from your usual favorite brands. You can push yourself out of your comfort zone and experience some exotic beverages you have never heard of or give drinking craft a new thought.

With so much variety out there, just keep in mind that your new favorite brew could be waiting for you to have a taste. Remember to take along your bottle openers and show off your popping skills while exploring the vast beer landscape wherever you may find yourself during this year’s International Beer Day.

Whether you are a complete enthusiast or a newbie to the world of beer, new brews and accessories can transform a good experience into a great one.  Get together with friends and family, fire up the good old BBQ and make International Beer Day 2015 one for the record books while doing it safely.
